ATA did not do a thing for this. ALPA was the driving force behind the entire restoration of the jumpseat and CASS. They spent a lot of money making it happen.

Actually, travel benefits are already calculated as imputed income. That is why there are certain restrictions on who is eligible for them. Since they are considered a benefit though, companies pay the tax and then get to use it as a write-off on their corporate taxes.

If memory serves me correctly, it was Alaska, UPS, and American that were the front running airlines to get it up and running.
Not like it's a secret, two of those companies are not ALPA.
