Default furlough travel benefits

Just doing some research to help the Brother and sisters at my airline that will hit the unemployment line.

Just will like to know what kind of travel benefits do different airlines had been offering to the pilots on furlough .... and what other benefits or packages have been the standard offers to the unfortunated pilots who got the boot from their respectives companies.

Thanks for the info and best of the lucks

Hi Mr. AVA,
well I am furloughed from NKS, and were given one year travel benefits within our company from the date of furloughed.

At American if you were below the staple point you got 90 days.
If you were above the staple point you got 18 months.

Hows that for helping your brothers and sisters?

United.......Unlimited full travel benefits for furloughed pilots and all eligibles....parents, family, ect. No time frame restriction.

I know a couple of my friends that have been riding around in First Class....for free and on furlough....getting their free meal and seeing the sights!

It's not free on furlough. If they haven't received a bill for service charges yet, they will.

It's free.....If they are traveling in first class they have coupons that are available to them....it is under "my coupons" on the company website...then the first class seat is free.

Yes...skynet....(click on the drop down menu and read the instructions) No change to the travel benefits for a furloughed person. The folks that say they get charged are not reading how to do it, or are not using the coupons for first and business.

At American Eagle it is 18 months. However, if no sick call within 90 days of furlough date, the time is extended to 24 months. So yeah, you get spanked for being sick...
