I have seen some pretty fat pilots in my carrier. I'm no twig at 195 and 5/11 but compared to some of the pilots i see, i look like an anorexic. I wonder what kind of caloric intake some of those guys have.

yup, me too. and not fat. OBESE, as in 5'7" and 300 lbs. Even some of my captains who have a chunky belly suck it in when i do the flight controls test... i wonder what the obese guys have to do, slide their seat all the way back?

It would not surprise me if the red dress is removed as an authorized uniform if the company loses this grievance.

I would think that stews that big would be more concerned with how many cheeseburgers they could cram in their roller bag than the style of dress they wear.

I'm just sayin.

On my airplane, the FA crew rest area is in the aft ceiling of the aircraft. It is accessed by a ladder and an opening in the ceiling. For the longest time I wondered why some of our wide-body FA's complained so much when first class was full. Then it hit me...they needed one of those seats for their crew rest because they couldn't fit through the large hole in the ceiling; much less climb the ladder. These same ladies did need to turn sideways when walking down the aisles.

And by the way, I'm not kidding.

I think we can conclude that nobody likes obese FA's; much less obese FA's in tight red dresses and purple hair.

Is Cathay Pacific hiring?

We could always bring back 727s. We used to have an annual requirement that FAs successfully exit through a 727 overwing hatch during recurrent training.

Excuse me, now I have to go hide from some of our cabin crew...

Well, they aren't letting the guys wear it, so they are already "discriminating."
