"Republic chief executive officer Bryan Bedford said at the Next Generation Equity Research Airlines Conference in New York City Dec. 9"

Please tell me this is a made up conference.

This little regional on steroids is going to end badly- being a leech to a larger company is one thing, forging your own way in one of the toughest industries during one of the toughest recessions in modern time is quite a different task.
Good luck to all of you MEH pilots.

Watch who you are culling a punk, you punk. I know of zero pay for training pilots at RAH. Keep trying there chief. You think this will end badly, huh? Sorry kid, it's just getting started. Move on.

But seriously, so you've got people buying tickets on Midwest, flying an airplane with Frontier's paint, and the crew is from Zimbabwe. So far it's proving quite the fiasco and if they don't get their brand pinned down quick I don't think all the cookies in Milwaukee are going to save this train wreck.

Yep, it's just getting started and will soon be ending. Once the parasitic fee for service contracts start drying up RAH will bleed profusely for a few quarters until the bankers pull the plug. FlyI part deux.

Southwest should serve cookies out of MKE, just for fun.

If that's not spot on, it's for sure the funniest thing that I've read in a long time.:D

the Republic Pilot's contract states that you would retain your flight benefits for 6 months following furlough. when i was furloughed last sept. we were told that we would have benefits on USAir flights operated by Republic for 90 days.

at least the pr!ck is consistent. i'll give you 1 guess what the union's response to what seems to me like a pretty cut and dry section of the contract.

i hope for all furloughs, from all affected parties, that you find gainful employment elsewhere and do not have to return to that place.

As in, the beginning of the end?

Zimbabwe? Seriously?

What's proving to be quite the fiasco? All i'm seeing is higher load numbers and the company still pulling a profit during the most expensive parts of an acquisition. Frontier I believe made around $30mil profit as well which wasn't included in the last report.

No doubt BB needs to work on his PR skills though.

Just saying MidEx/Frontier/Republic is going to have a brand crisis if they can't figure out what type of airline they're trying to be. Planes may be full but if your passengers don't know what airline you are (buying tickets on Midwest and flying on Frontier) then your loyalist customers are going to bolt. All you have left are the folks who just go online and click on the cheapest fare. Going to be hard to turn a buck like that.
