Default Jumpseating to Costa Rica

Anyone ever j/s to Costa Rica? Not too concerned about getting there, but was wondering if it was a hassle getting back?

haha... If you leave out of LIR (Liberia), you have to stand in line and pay the hefty airport fee (~30USD) before you can stand in line to check-in. So plan accordingly.

25 dollar departure tax flying out of SJO.

There are 3 flights a day between ATL and SJO. I think one to LIR.

If you jump seat in your uniform cant you just walk through the security line and skip the airport fee? I don't know how it works for US airlines but for the carrier I fly they just put me on the Gen Dec and off I go. I usually JS out of CR and not use a ticket to avoid the hefty airport departure taxes and fees and just walk right through the employee security line.
