Default STAFFING at DELTA

Does anyone know (ACL, Super, Johnso??) the amount of crews, going forward, that DELTA plans per Narrowbody and Widebody aircraft?

If the plan is to have 730 aircraft at mainline are we FAT on pilots?

Thanks,

TYG

We have 740 a/c

6-7 crew to 16 depending on the jet.

It is the utilization that matters.

Bingo! The 757 could be used waaaay more, and that alone would require more bodies.

So lets just say 10 crews to a jet, we have what 222 70-76 seat regional jets so multiply 222 x 10 = 2220 crews x 2 = 4,440 pilots we could have here. Boy, moving up 30-40% in seniority would be nice.

The 70 to 76 seat jets are more along the lines of 5 - 6 crews per airplane... so cut your number in half...

The thread is about Delta staffing, Why are you using regional numbers in your calculation for seniority? No hating here, just curious.

You clearly missed his point. Those aircraft should be flown by mainline, not the regional partners, which in turn means more jobs for everyone at mainline.

He used mainline staffing (and more or less overstaffed) in his numbers... not the typical regional staffing of 4-6 crews per airplane.

Regardless... all of these jumbo RJ's need to be at mainline, evenmoreso all flying under a carrier's colors.

Just curious, but under the DAL CBA/workrules/staffing model, etc. Assuming the sub 100 seat equipment was at mainline, what would be the breakdown in crews per airframe? I'm assuming more than the 4-6 regional model. OR, would it be more efficient than what the regionals do?
