SWA is a money machine thanks to efficiency...

No better way to totally screw efficiency than to let customs and immigration into the mix...SWA limits outsiders from hurting efficiencies, ie...ATC (serve smaller airports, customs (domestic only)...Obviously PHL & DEN are big steps

Is TSA/FAA/DHS going to create more customs and immigration ports for SWA at Hobby/PHX/SAT/etc...Maybe, I don't know?...

I don't like to doubt SWA because they are stout...but they are stout because they avoid things that cause inefficiencies and International is inefficient...Very proffitable, but hard to fit into SWA niche....My 2 cents.

20 minute turns...hell, it take 45 mins to clear customs.

Most SWA buddies of mine that have been there since the early 80s roll there eyes when they hear rumors of SWA going international and talk 787 BS.

Yes, all true. However, wouldn't it require some additional costs to SWA to fly outside the country, gain flag carrier status, train crews in Class II Nav, etc.?

Does that fit into the mold of the SWA model?
