THANK YOU-Spirit Pilot Jumpseats Home
Heart felt gratitude to our brothers and sisters who made it possible for our pilots to jumpseat home today!!
A huge THANK YOU to my USAir brothers and sisters - for they got me home today. (Our management shut down CASS.) So proud to be a professional airline pilot. In a time of need you delivered.
And to ALL OF YOU who have offered and supported Spirit pilots - YOU ARE FAMILY. Thank you for your support.

DELTA will help you out too...
Delta management has agreed to allow Spirit pilots continued access to Delta jumpseats, which includes the flowback provision if Spirit management attempts to remove CASS eligibility. Striking Spirit pilots need our assistance, and we encourage Delta pilots to professionally assist Spirit pilots in any way possible if you encounter them at the gate attempting to jumpseat.

Southwest is There For You Also
SWAPA and Southwest Management have just notified the pilots and all company employees that Spirit Pilots will continue to be allowed to ride in the back of the aircraft (since Spirit management shut down CASS). The union reports that the company absolutely will continue to provide these benefits to our brothers at Spirit.
Southwest also confirmed to SWAPA that there would be absolutely no contracting with Spirit to provide aircraft, crews, etc.
All pilots regardless of carrier have a dog in this fight. The crap that Spirit Management has tried to get the pilots to swallow is too much to take. If the Spirit investors win, expect it to "trickle down" to every carrier next. STOP IT HERE!
I am headed to LGA tomorrow to spend the day with some courageous Spirit pilots. Hope to see you there!

Attn Mod:
Could the moderator please change the subject title to this thread to "THANK YOU - Spirit Pilot Jumpseats Home"
It would be a great thread to allow other Spirit guys and gals to express their gratitude to all those who helped get us home, not just USAir.
Thank you!

To all the Spirit guys out there, THANK YOU! Thank you for refusing to lower the bar any further and taking the steps to restore our profession.
If any of you need a ride home and are attempting to get on CAL, CASS is NOT required to ride in the cabin. If the agents haven't been clued in on this be sure to get the attention of the crew. We received a blastmail out from our union clarifying that so you should be all set to go to ride home on us. Several of our pilots have had the honor of walking with you this past weekend and have had high praise for your entire group. I hope we and our UAL brethren have the same fortitude should the time come for us.
Good luck and you all are welcome on my airplane anytime! Even better if we meet up on a layover in the future beers on me!
