[QUOTE When you can get the GS gravy train rolling, it can work very good.[/QUOTE]

On Sun MSP320A assignments; A Captain flying his 4th Green slip! The key to $$ is to bid a low sked and keep days available to pick up GS. I'll bet his GS pay is = to his regular sched pay and credit

Just a word of warning about this. I know people who are interviewing or trying to get on to Delta are reading this. I just want to remind them to not plan on this.

It is the summer and we are a little short staffed on some fleets. Not all fleets or bases are like this. Some months can be as described, others are just death valley.

I've had one green slip this month and that was it.

The trip coverage sequence is listed in Section 23 N and O of the JCBA. N is for longer than 12 hours and O is for shorter than 12 hours. They are quite long so I didn't post them here.

Not completely sure, but I think they would IA somebody before they gave out a GSWC. They really have to be in a bind to give out GSWC trips. I know they have been handing some out on the 90 in SLC due to the transition and I'm hoping to see some on the 320 in SLC next month.

One more question on Delta Green Slips. Does anybody know the logic (or lack thereof) of why a regular line holder gets double pay and a reserve pilot only gets straight pay above guarantee? Afterall, either of us are working on our days off to get a greenslip. Why was the contract written that way?

The reserve also gets his violated off day(s) back. The regular guy does not.

Had one recently. Actually, my first. I had to call them the next day to get my day off they owed me and was informed that you don't get to choose the day to cash it in. The scheduler said that according to the contract the next reserve day is the one that is dropped, no exceptions. Does this hold water?
