You should at least take a look at it. I was very impressed by the campus and training they offer. I'm one of those people who likes to talk to as many people as I can before I do something. I have been doing research for a long time now.

Thank you for the advise. When did you graduate from there? I'm looking forward to flight training and I have no clue what to expect. How is the work load there? I have a friend who is a cfi there and he is flying 130 hours a month. I got a lot of advise from him however I want more than just one opinion.

1989...doesn't seem that long ago, but I guess it sort of is!

1989 huh well that was a long time ago.

Jetalc 08-15-2006 01:57 PM

Yeah, thanks. Go ahead and rub it in!

Jetalc did you have your picture up on the wall at FSI. Ill look for the pics with grad dates from 89. I think they are all the way in the back. j/k
Thanks for the input on fsi. I have a long road ahead of me. I have been out of school for awhile. I hope i can get back into studying.

Was there breifly in 1996 for a turbine transition course. Was a good program. Except for my private, I always was in a FAR Part 141 School (read FIT, FSI, Executive Flyers). If you want to fly in a structured environment and get ratings quicker in my experience the 141 program is the way to go. The downside is it costs substantially more.

UPSAv8tr thanks for the advice. I agree that 141 is expensive but I want to get out quick and stay focused. Its hard for me to stay focused if I have other things going on.

I'm enrolled at FSI and will begin training on the 6th of September. Like you I have been out of school for a while now, getting back into the habit of studying will be strange...but i'm looking forward to it.

flyboeingjets 08-24-2006 08:35 AM

COTriple7 08-24-2006 05:25 PM
