From usapa:
"With regard to the CAPA election, President Cleary reported that USAPA’s entire CAPA contingent was very disappointed at the election of the new CAPA President for a variety of reasons. Although we will work to find positive solutions to this problem, USAPA pilots should know that the magnitude of the problem has caused an evaluation that our resources may be better spent elsewhere than CAPA."
So the CAPA airlines had the gall to elect a southwest pilot instead of a usapa pilot to the leadership position, time to pick up the toys and go home.

I'm astounded. I thought the whole point of going to CAPA was the satisfaction of knowing each independent is free to be the master of their domain, unimpeded by any influence from any national hierarchy. In that context, I wouldn't think it would matter who or even what is president. Could be a chimpanzee, for all they care, since each union floats freely above the lowly consideration of politics, caring only deeply about their members, all day long. And for less!

Oh, & when the NWA/DAL arbitration award came out we didn't cry like children, take our toys and go home. We stuck to the binding arbitration that we agreed to, & took the decision like men.

You really want to open that can of worms? I don't think you do. Look up the FAA's report the taxi way incident. You'll find that the exact same thing happened to the FAA when they re-created the conditions.
