Default Sim Instructor interview offer

I've been offered an interview for a simulator instructor position at JetBlue. Waiting to hear about an interview date. Originally asked to interview this Friday but was postponed until next week. I'm not really sure if I am qualified, but the two questions she asked me were; are you an ATP and do you have 1 year of 121 or CFI experience. I am, but have no turbine and minimal twin experience. Any input can help.

If those were the 2 questions she asked, and both of your answers were yes, and she didn't ask if you have turbine or twin experience, logic would tell me that you are qualified. Even the fact that they scheduled an interview with you knowing this I would say you are qualified. Even if you're up against geeks that have done nothing but fly million pound jets since they were 1 year old, the job can be yours if you interview well.

Thanks for your reply. This will be my first interview with an airline. I'm anxiously looking forward to it.

Good for you and good luck. Is this the E-190 IP in Orlando?

The postion is for JetBlue's training facility in Orlando. From what I've seen on other pilot job sites, the starting salary is 70k/yr. I don't know if it's for the 320 or 190.

Damn. Sim instructor, home every night, live in MCO and $70k a year? I'd rather have that than JFK 190 FO.
