Default US Airways splitting pilot group?

Anyone heard the rumor about a merger with Delta and/or American and spliting the pilot groups of Airways?

Yeah, I hear it all the time. Ridiculous. I think it's more about people wanting it to happen than actual reality. Not going to happen.

How can you split something that has never been together? That group is about as split as you're gonna get!

While we're talking strictly rumors, has anyone heard about the FAA considering the revocation of the SOC at USAir? This should be of concern to UAL/CAL labor and it might help management focus on facilitating integration rather than fight it.

Dougie would love someone to take this albatross (the East) off his hands and has been practically begging some to do just that, but I see no one out there that stupid. AA's teetering in a perilous and delicate position and incorporating that cancer into it would drive a stake through the patient.

Delta needs the U East operation like a double arse.

A stronger rumor has your carrier being acquired by Grace L. Ferguson Airline (and Storm Door Company) with their pilot stapling your pilot group underneath him.

No No No, silly, this is message board world. In this world everything East is Bad, no matter what the subject.

Its easy to play, just wait for a post with anything East in it. Then immediately jump in with any kind of derogatory statement you can think of aimed at the East pilots. True or not, it matters not. You will know if you succeeded by the post following yours, if you get a bunch of "atta boys" you will know you have successfully entered the East bash fest.

It'd be real hard for them not to make money when they're undercutting labor rates by a huge margin at every other major carrier.

Raise the East's pay to industry average, and where do those profits go?

Who cares? The pilots are some of the worst paid in the world. We are pilots. That's the most important thing.
