Update on Hawaiian Hiring.
It's been a while since anything recent has been posted on hiring and quality of life at Hawaiian. I've turned in my application and was asked if I would be available for a November class. Anyone have an update, positive outlooks, or warning flags?

No recommendations. I've got a little over 7500 TT with about 6000 hours almost evenly split between the CRJ and MD-11. My family's willing to move if the quality of life is there long term.

If you can handle Hawaii you bet it's there.
What's not to love. There is some sacrifice due to cost of living but hopefully it gets better with next contract. At least you're broke in paradise. Good luck. |

Why'd you want to work there? HA is a takeover target. Their CEO even stated the they'd like to merge with someone. At 4$ per share and when Southwest and Alaska figure out what they really want to do in the islands, they'll start a bidding war over them.

With Aloha Airlines gone this is the last good gig for those living in Hawaii and not wanting to commute
