The DURATION section is absurd (2 contracts or 10 years, whichever is LONGER). Work rules and pay scales would therefore be the LAST virtually EVERY current AA pilot would see due to their ages. No more bargaining and the ability to regain anything lost should UAL and DAL be more successful in their efforts due to the threat of bankruptcy absent. However, that's unlikely if this becomes reality, for it's certain to drag them downward as well.
Is all this a coincidence ? I think not. |

Sounds like AMR already has a merger planned. Perhaps that's the reason for the sudden rush ?
The CP contains a provision that modify seniority merger provisons to comply with McCaskill-Bond legislation so they can just do a merger and not worry it will fail due to seniority disagreements throwing that into binding arbitration (although some consider arbitration non-binding). I highly suspect the same thing. If they can get you to agree to this garbage, I suspect that parts of LCC and B6 will be your new family. |
Just so we all agree, a B scale is not lower pay on jets below 125 seat, a B scale is lower pay for performing the same job on the same jet that someone under the same CBA is getting paid more to do.

Latest rumor around B6 has B6 taken over AAIs gates and doing JFK/BOS-DFW

DFW gates. |
Don't give up scope, don't pull up the ladder. I have no desire to drive an RJ for the rest of my career, I don't mind paying my dues as long is there is something worth paying for in the end.
Ensuring these aircraft are at mainline goes further towards job security for mainline pilots than any pay raise which can be slashed in BK. There is no reason a 100 seat airplane with first class flying DFW-BOS should not be operated by a mainline crew, that is not a regional route. |

AAI has to stop DFW service due to wright amendment restrictions. Don't know if they've pulled out yet.

That doesn't mean those cities will come easy, or even that they will ever be profitable, but they will be added anyway because the growth has to go somewhere. |
