Sad story. I hope this guy gets the help he needs. Too bad he's on his own.

Flight 191 is a cursed flight number and should have been stricken from the system 26 years ago.

American flight 191 5-29-79

Delta flight 191 8-2-85

I've got a great sense of humor, but there's no way to know that you find this situation a joke. Of course, hearing you do, I'd think everyone directly involved wouldn't share your mirth over it.

Bummer. I'd bet it's a medical issue, as was suggested - brain tumor or brain cancer. All the best to him, his family, and everyone at JBLU.

FO needs to be HIGHLY praised for getting the Captain to willing leave the cockpit before he got lost control.

Let's not forget comair 5191. Call sign was 191.

There are a couple more bad 191s out there. Definately cursed.

You guys remind me of this:

Let me know when it's all over, investigation et.al., and what the outcome was. I'd be interested to know what actually happened and why.

That's my new incident and accident policy and I don't care whether it was a Cessna 172 or a Boeing 747-800 or something even better- an MD-88.

Thanks.
