Bombardier CSeries Gets Deal While Qatar Goes on Hold - Bloomberg

Bombardier list a "major network carrier" as the launch customer for the C-series with a firm order for 10 airframes and a delivery date of 2013

This is pure conjecture on my part but seems to me where this whole mess is going.

I would rather see DL liquidate and start over in the resulting gold rush of start ups than to allow that to happen.

If this is dumb enough to even consider it, then we get what we deserve. That said, it ain't going to happen.

There is zero chance DALPA would give up on that... much less that DL would even ask for it.

Maybe 9E just wants an established rate in their PWA in case there are future opportunities to bid on flying for other airlines besides Delta.

Bingo. That's exactly right.

So let me get this straight. You are basing this ASININE conjecture on a thread from this very forum (and we all know just how accurate the rumors started here turn out to be..)... AND... and a leap of Grand Canyon scale as your basis? Really?

Step back from the crack pipe bro.

Maybe, but aren't we (supposedly) negotiating (and from the NNP seemingly agreed to by the company already) language putting an end to the "air group" separate certificate trick? IOW, if Pinnacle went rogue and flew >76 seaters we could pull the plug on their entire operation. Let's hope that's how it works out.

That is the way it sounded yesterday. It also sounded retroactive.
