No to yes, what would it take?

Simple question for the confirmed no voters. What has to be improved in this TA to get you to vote yes?

I am on the fence on my vote, depending on time of day, temperature, and humidity my mood swings from hell no to less then an emphatic yes. For me I think we made some good not great gains.

Pay: I would have liked another percent in DC on DOS and 15 percent raise on DOS with 4% per year after.

Scope: I am not a fan of more big RJs but the block hours ratio is a step in the right direction. I talked to reps that voted no on the TA and scope was not the no vote issue.

Other items: Avg daily credit I was hoping for 5 plus, vacation I was looking for 4, and training pay I would have like dot have seen worth 5 as well.

So the question is what would it take to change a no to a yes? And how do we get there from here?

255 jumbo RJ hard cap remains a 255 jumbo RJ hard cap.

Then I'll look at the rest.

Agree, and 5/10/5/5. Then I'll look at the rest.

Average daily credit is still 5 plus hours per day, as long as each day has one flight segment. A 3 day with one leg per day is still worth 15:45. Now, most of the 3 day trips will be worth at least 13:30 (not 11 hours), as long as the first flight leaves before 11pm the first day. Most flights to Hawaii leave mid afternoon, and most NYC and ATL flights out to the West Coast leave mid afternoon and then end with an allnighter back to base. There are some 3 days that duty in after 10pm, and leave after 11pm, which are not included. That does stink, so my suggestion is bid Hawaii trips. You can get an extra 2:30, and a nice tan. It would be nice to get 5:15 for every calendar day, but I guess that is a part of negotiation. It was an improvement overall.

The NMB will laugh in your face. They want to compare us to AA/UA/US. How have they done? If you don't think this is true, just call up a rep and ask them.

Agree!

Everything else is negotiable. Scope stands alone.

I will vote yes for a PWA with:

1. No concessions, and

2. Gains throughout the agreement.

We won't see this any time soon.

Do you honestly believe that it's possible for one side of a negotiation to concede nothing and actually come to an agreement? Unless you are holding a gun to their head (an actual gun, not a figurative one) both sides are going to have to concede something to reach an agreement. It doesn't have to be zero-sum, cost neutral, but no matter what, we are going to have to accept something that the company wants if we are going to improve our contract.

I really dont give a rats butt if they laugh. And, I truly believe it wont go to the NMB. IMHO, if voted down, we will have a new TA pretty darn quick.

I drew a line in the sand on what the minimum will be for me to vote yes. Not your call, it's mine.
