That's where we disagree. I think it is sustainable, as it has been for SWA, UPS and FedEx. If one carrier raises the bar, others will follow and pilot costs will be a commodity to pay just like oil.

That is the problem. It seems the NO voters are trying to make the case for getting C2K back in its entirety without realizing C2K was not sustainable! It was a poor management decision that resulted in part bankruptcy by the company, an almost hostile takeover, and a ****ed of pilot group. I too want C2K, but only if I can keep it! It is attainable but we have to build the company to a point that it can sustain it. That's better for all. Beyond that is also attainable and sustainable in due time.
DAL is a profitable company. Did ANYONE expect to see concessions in this TA? |

Okay, we understand C2k may be unsustainable while paying down debt, but why the concessions?

As a no voter, C2K rates are not my goal. SWA rates up front, either at signing or at the amenable date would turn me. They're our prime competitor in many domestic markets. [/rant] http://s14.postimage.org/xd6rxipf5/S...Comparison.jpg (Copied from the roadshow handouts in ATL today) This includes our DC, which SWA does not have. This is for Captains. Unfortunately FO's don't get a chart, but it probably looks somewhat similar. 2013 is our amendable date. Does this turn you? Or are you talking pay only? Does it matter that DC is included in this chart? I think it's relevant as it is part of compensation and is money coming out of Delta's pocket, into mine (tax advantaged.) Not flaming. What do you think? *Keep in mind that the red portion on the SWA bar is what the pilot contributes to receive the match from SWA. Delta pilots receive the entire green bar from the company completely without having to contribute money from their paycheck to get a match. |

What concessions are you referring to? Serious question because I just don't see them.
Higher ALV/TLV for lineholders. Shifting the 30 day monthly bids to summer. 7th short call. Ability to assign a reserve to work to alv plus 15 |

It is not relevant without their workrules that allow EASY and regular premium pay. They absolutely blow us away. This chart is misleading and has been debunked aplenty. If a DAL pilot wants to live in the dark and eat paste, this chart speaks to him. If, OTOH, he wants to understand how gross the gap between SWA takehome pay and his DAL takehome pay, he sees this chart as targetting the paste-eater. |

I don't get why you feel the need to resort to insults. |
