Haha! At AA at least, the MD-80 fleet is always the LAST one to get anything cool.
In just the last month or so, the iPad was finally approved for AA's 737 fleet. The 757/767 is next, then the MD-80.
iPad - What a glorious device... After 20 years of Jeppesons, finally being able to shed 30 pounds of paper, and knowing that posting infinite revisions is gone forever, is a thing of joy.
Plus... you can read in the cockpit and make it look like you are studying the ops manual.
