Too much communication and you say..."This contract should sell itself." they can't win for lose with you guys. I wish you guys would just be honest and say NOTHING this union produces is good enough. I'm beginning to believe that about so many on this board. I think it is disingenuous to argue the positives or negatives of a contract that you wouldn't vote for even if there were 30% day one raises and no 76 seat increases.

I am no ALPA lover. In my short time at Delta ('07) I have seen good and bad. I certainly was not here for the furloughs and the pay cuts. I am humble enough to admit I don't know what it must be like to get escorted out of the airport by your employer as they increase DCI flying. It's infuriating enough to me and I wasn't even here when all that happened. ALPA was at the helm for all of that. But a reasonable look at our CURRENT situation, imho, points toward trusting, and I will say it again, trusting in the negotiators. This "black helicopter" crowd is outside reality if they think the NC is getting their strings pulled by national or the MEC. I mean no insult here even though it may come across that way.

It just becomes more evident as I surf these threads that there are the bunker mentality types here who just will not believe a word coming from ALPA. Call me naive, a relative newcomer, but I am going to trust the people we elected, who in turn elected the NC. I believe this is a flawed contract. I believe we deserve more. But I believe what the negotiators are saying here. Why wouldn't I believe them? Just because there are some on here that think their words are crafted by LM? Hogwash. Vote for it, stop fighting, and get 15% more in 3 years......out.

+++++++717. It's amazing we have any airplanes in the air with the apparent HUGE number of helicopters hovering over so many of our homes! So many conspiracies out there. Maybe it's the right deal for this time, and for the right duration. "We'll get um next time" might be the correct phrase. Add 19.7% for 2 1/2 years with other improvements and 717s. That's good.

I see Lumberg created another screen name... HBdude.

At least he agrees with himself.

Anybody else notice the similarity between how BL writes and that guy with multiple identities (mostly General Lee) on that other board? You know, like a ten year old dying for a Popsicle.

Haha wouldn't surprise me. The funny thing about that guy.....he has a staunch attitude on scope......right up until he doesn't. Just like Lumberg, he scares easy.

A lot of people agree, and that makes you upset.

Here you go again, going after people you disagree with because you can't come up with a better argument for your cause. You have a HUNCH. That's great.

And similarities with who? A General? I'm glad other people agree with me. You will too eventually.

Was it on an anonymous board? Is there an ignore function there like there is here? Can't someone just hit ignore?

Actually very accurate post. I was furloughed in 2002. I certainly don't blame ALPA. In fact, because of them I had my medical insurance paid for which was huge. What happened to me and hundreds of other fellow pilots WILL NOT happen with this TA. Regionals hiring like crazy while mainline was furloughing pilots. More 76 seaters is not good, but the trade offs are more than worth it. In 5 or 10 years from now when we are growing and purchasing more airplanes they will all be flown here by mainline pilots because DCI will be capped at 450 airframes period. Huge win for us.

Careful, Bacon may implode and accuse you of being me. He can't seem to handle any reasoning from anyone in our group.
