Default company issued iPad?

Just wondering if anyone with a company issued iPad could answer a question. Has your company put restrictions on them concerning having your own choice of apps, videos, and personal content?

Almost. They don't want us to access personal email on them. Other than that, use common sense and don't surf porn. That's the way it is now until someone screws it all up for us.

Full restrictions at UAL. Can't put any apps on it. Certain websites blocked (reservations! Why?) Can use iBooks, email, iTunes, and photos. I have nothing personal on mine.

Our USAF issued iPads are locked down. Not allowed to set up email, sync to iTunes, or download apps.

Had an LCAL guy on the Jumpseat last night. He said a few folks even put tape over the camera because they have no faith in the company!

A little tin foil hat for me but to each is own.

That's funny. I leave mine off and at home so it's not a problem.

The word at Alaska is that during the trial period, half of the iPads were locked down and half had open access. They found the locked down ones were being left in airplanes, in flight bags, not charged or updated exc. The ones that had personal apps on them were sure to be charged and kept track of. Thus we have almost open access.

My Air Force issued IPad is like a glorified Kindle. All we can do is access pubs on it.
