Default Breathing Green At SeaTac

Passengers at Sea-Tac breathing cleaner air | www.kirotv.com

I hope airlines don't charge another fee to breathe this preconditioned air.

To quote Monica Lewinskys ex-boyfriends wife, "What difference does it make?"

As soon as you get in the air and pressure changes, people start farting. Then you've got to breath that.

And while befuddling to some even Airbus has gone out of it's way to advertise that with their airplanes you'll have a "LONGER LARGER FART"

Exhaust from an engine or exhaust from your seat mate laying his head on your shoulder, which is worse?

We shall see. I expect the air will never be cold enough for a boat load of sweaty people on a hot day.

The conversion cost $43 million, half of it paid by a federal air-quality grant and half by the gate fees airlines pay.

You have to love those good old federal grants (your and my tax dollars).

Let me guess; a contractor who is a relative or friend and promised major kickback monies to airport upper management suggested this and reeled them in like mackerel. Brilliant!

We still have to run the APU because it feels more like ventilated air than PCA. It doesn't cool, it just moves it around.

At least they're being sensible about it by using a centralized chillwater plant. Sure is a lot more efficient than APUs and the jetbridge air handlers. As long as the fan-coils in the jetbridge units have the proper chillin' & heatn' capacities, it should work pretty well and quiet things down a bit more on the ramp!

Moving it around is key. Especially in the cockpit. That's why we have gaspers.
