JB October 29 Interview date

Anyone receive any emails yet?...the waiting is killing me!

Nobler 11-02-2013 07:13 PM

Is that what we should be looking for, or is it a phone call? The FedEx truck is the thumbs down.

If you made it to "Phase II" you will get an email.
I don't know how long it takes. My email was 3 days later.
But it seems to change all the time.
Good luck guys.
How was the interview?

captwilko 11-02-2013 08:04 PM

It was a week for most of us in the Sept 26/27 group. The wait is truly the hardest part!! Good luck.

Bryanintransit 11-03-2013 03:17 AM

Still waiting. Good luck to you!

SmoothLanderJ 11-03-2013 03:51 AM

I was also in the October 29 interview group....and still waiting!

Av8trixx 11-03-2013 05:26 AM

I was also in the 10/29/13 interview group; no news here. Assuming we do get the Phase II email, how long is that process before the background checking etc is complete and you can consider yourself hired and get a class date? Thanks in advance and good luck all.

That's the million dollar question. Depends on how many people are remaining from previous interview groups to be called for classes.

Assuming your background check goes smoothly and the hiring pool is dry then you could get called within a week of interviewing for a classdate 2 weeks away.

Alot depends on your former companies. Piedmont took forever to respond to the pria requests and it delayed my background checks by 2 weeks. Not that it mattered as it took 5 months from interview to class date. Ive heard in 2011, some guys waited over a year. It wont be even close to that for recent interviewees. If you get the phase II letter- as long as you havent concealed anything, Youll get a class date. Good luck to all.

CTPILOT 11-03-2013 07:42 AM

Also in the first A.M group.

Not a peep yet. Fingers crossed!

Av8trixx 11-03-2013 11:15 AM

Ok thanks guys--that helps! Anxiously awaiting the P2 email. Best of luck and I'll post if and when I hear.

Kellwolf 11-03-2013 09:00 PM

Relax, guys. Don't start freaking out yet. For almost every recent interview Phase II emails have gone out almost EXACTLY a week later. You've still got a couple of days before you hit that mark. You think the wait on Phase II notification is hard, you may not survive the next one waiting on a class date.

I will second that one. I lost my job about halfway through the wait after the Phase Two notification and was in limbo thinking whether to go take a regional job or simply sit tight until JetBlue called. It took a bit longer than the twelve weeks but they called finally. Developed quite the fear of FedEx trucks though.

JB October 29 Interview date

KellWolf and I waited for over 12 months for our classes.

Agreed- towards the end, I was telling fed ex drivers not to deliver to apt # 5:)

14months for me but that certainly will not be the case for these guys! Good luck.

rvr1800 11-04-2013 06:09 AM

I waited 4 months from phase 2 email to class date. Not bad compared to others. My advice is to stay off these boards if you can. Based on reading some threads I figured out that everyone on here from my interview had been given a class date except me. I convinced myself that I didn't pass phase 2 even though I knew I had no surprises in my background. I started looking over my neighbors fences for fedex envelopes convinced that I missed it.

Luckily for you guys I think you're wait should be less than that. But you never know. Just remember as long as you were 100% honest in your interview it's very rare not to make it past phase II.

pilotjonesg 11-04-2013 06:35 AM

I waited 2 weeks for the passing phase 1 email, so it takes a little bit. Never recall getting the phase 2 email, but Ive been here for 8 months, so I assume I passed it.

Bryanintransit 11-05-2013 06:42 AM

Check your email folks. Hope to see see you all in phase II. And the wait begins again.

Nobler 11-05-2013 06:59 AM

Whooooo! Hooooo!! just received the "Phase 2" e-mail!

XForces 11-05-2013 07:14 AM

Gladly. I live 40 minutes away :)

Anyone know what the open spots are for the November class or is that not available until class starts?

Also, just trying to formulate my bid, but, what's the average time to line on both types in JFK/BOS? Thanks in advance

The last 3 classes were 50/50 for 320/190. As far as reserve- Im praying for less than a year. Im 1 from the bottom in jfk(320) so im thrilled to welcome you guys on board:D

A buddy of mine started Reserve in JFK (320) in May and had a line in Oct. I started in Aug so I'm hoping it won't be too long.

Bryanintransit 11-06-2013 10:29 AM

Does anybody want to make a W.A.G. at when we will be in class, assuming you make it through phase 2, of course? I don't know how many are swimming in the pool.

NYBlue 11-06-2013 03:11 PM

Word is that many of the Oct interview group will probably be in the Dec 4 class, which will be a sizeable class. Others will be in Jan. Seniority is everything in this business, and those who interview earlier in the day will get an earlier class date.

With the way people are quitting it shouldn't be a problem.

It's not as high as the internet kings say and not as low as management wants it to be. There is a bubble now with the Delta boys going back and there will be more. As always the answer is in the middle. In fact I just quit :) (sarcasm)

Flying Elvis 11-07-2013 01:33 AM

Reserve...

Oct 31 class: 5 bus (3 BOS, 2 JFK), 5 JFK 190s.

I started IOE this month as #2 from the bottom in my type/base. By Jan, I'll be about #15 from the floor (not including Nov/Dec classes). In a year or two...

There are a tremendous amount of pilots waiting to leave. The PVC survey indicated as high as 60%. The issue will be, outside of furloughs, is how fast will the major airlines be hiring Jetblue pilots. Like DAL many of its pilots will initially come from their regionals so only time will tell.
