Default Delta Perks

Has anyone utilized the automobile purchase programs offered through Delta Perks? And if so, which one and would you recommend?

I just posted this at the other thread. You have a few other replies there, also.

Just went through the car buying event. Don't bother to use Delta Perks, USAA buying service, Edmunds or Consumer Reports. You can do better yourself. Just use them to determine your starting point before you begin to negotiate.

Check out Fighting Chance.com. It will show you how to get a much better price on your own from the comfort of your living room.

USAA had the best financing deal.

I had a good experience using the Delta GM discount. I got a steal of a deal and it beat USAA by over $1,400. I'm not saying it's always the best deal but it was in my case.

Yes, X-Plan for Ford group and Mazda. Good price and it caps the Dealer's add on fees (which otherwise force you to beat those down). I'm a picky nerd and found the vehicle I wanted at another Dealer about 150 miles away. After my salesman had to go and get it I actually felt a little bad for how little the dealer made out of the deal.

I might could have squeezed another $300 out of the price by haggling, but the dealer came in $1,000 higher than the others for my oddball, but perfect, SVT trade in.

Don't know if it is that I'm a repeat customer, or what, but since I've bought using X-Plan we've been treated like VIP's (wife Mazda fixed out of warranty for free, great service from Ford too).

For those who are not Delta employees, X-Plan used to be a perk of EAA membership, or owning Ford stock (which I do).
