How Long is indoc? How long is ground school? Sims? Total?

Does JB provide your hotel room? Thanks!

CaptCoolHand 02-03-2014 11:13 AM

You get a hotel in mco. 4-6 weeks start to finish depending on sim slots.

hello all.
Update my thread here. 2 weeks to go until loe. pretty much what the guys/gals have posted. hotel provided, the"lodge" should be completed March 15'. no more laptops for CBT'S. Ipads can access them now. schedule is considered "floating", can change daily. Very busy with upcoming newhires. Growth Growth Growth was the script of the day at orientation. training is very accommodating and relaxed. enjoy the experience.

Can any JB pilots confirm/deny that FOs upgrade quicker in the E190 than the A320? If so will it still be true now that all future E190 orders have been deferred?

The junior E190 CA is around 3 years seniority, and for A320 CA it is around 5-6years. It doesn't matter what equipment you are currently flying, you can bid either of those upgrades whenever your seniority can hold it. I think the E190 CA will remain junior, since there will be CAs bidding to transfer from the E190 to the A320 when their seniority can hold a decent schedule on it.

Yes, E190 deliveries have been deferred until 2018 I believe. No new E190s til then (and even then I wouldn't count on it)

Actually I am the lowest 320 captain in Boston and there are only a few below me overall and I'm just finishing year 7 this month so 5-6 years is about 2 years off

Beechnut 02-08-2014 08:21 PM

I'm at 6.5 years and can't touch 320 CA anywhere.
