JB "On time" flight status
Here's a question to those flying for JetBlue... recently a few members of my family were traveling on a JB flight from FLL-JFK. All day, the flight status showed "On time". Upon their arrival at the gate, they waited until the proposed departure time only to get an announcement that the flight was delayed due to crew... they finally departed 3hrs behind schedule, but the flight status never changed from on time. This wasn't the first I've heard/seen this from JB and was wondering if anyone had any intel for future reference.

Rob Marooster, COO, stated on CNBC that the delays are often not conveyed to the public as the times are often dictated by FAA ground stops or ground delay programs which can often be cancelled and times moved up.
Jetblue system operations also receives its weather updates from fantasy land and chronically disregards weather reports from certified outlets.
On day one of this IROP the airline had weather reports indicating the landing minimums would below CatIII autland for the airbus. Flights were not cancelled until 3 hour delays were posted.
