Competitive Qualifications at the Majors?

What's everyone's prediction for competitive qualifications at the majors and large LCC's over the next several years? ie;

2011- Astronauts only
2012- Blue Angels/Thunderbirds only
2013- 8000+(hours TT), 2500+(121 Jet Pic), Chk Airman, 4yr Degree
2014- 6000+(hours TT), 1000+( Jet Pic), 4yr Degree
2015-..............
2016-..............
2017-..............
2018-...

I think you may be a little off for 2014. People are getting hired at AA with 0TPIC and UAL with less than 3K TT (I'm sure those same people know someone). It seems the selection processes are becoming more arbitrary.

Which is sad because I know lots of highly qualified individuals that cant even get interviews.

Many of the low timers getting hired on at UAL and AA are military.

I think you would be hard pressed to find more than a few regional FOs with 3,000TT, 0 PIC,without strong strong internals, getting any offers.

I know of one guy in my class that was "asked to resign" from two previous 121 airlines and he still got hired. Now I am am not sure what that looks like on a pria but still. Best of the best... roll eyes.

This is why I laugh when I watch you guys ASSUME you're all going to get jobs at the Majors. Every AAA baseball, AHL hockey and NDL basketball player thinks they're going to the big show, too.
