Negative on blue dart, but had a couple internals, one of whom advocated for me very actively.

Prior mil, all my non-student time was PIC/Instructor/Evaluator. At time of hire, about 3500 total time. 3K+ turbine, 2500k+ multi turbine. 0 SIC.

I know that at least couple guys hired in the 3/11 interview class were mil with lower total times than that.

I just read on another JetBlue hiring thread of a guy who interviewed in February, now in phase 2, and received a call inquiring about his time in last 12 months. I'm purely a mil guy, Guard and have flown very low time in last several years, though I'm currently phase 2, March 11 interview. Could anyone chime in as to whether the limited recency of experience could hurt a mil guy in phase 2?

A Chief Pilot told me this question is being asked of some guys. For military, they (the CPs) understand the variances in mil flying but may have been less then successful in explaining that to the non-pilot HR people. I don't know, but from that discussion, it is possible you may need "intervention," and the way to get that is for whoever recommended you from the inside to talk to their CP or ACP. Be proactive.

But how is the military reduced flying any different than someone who's been instructing in the sim the last year or two. Seems both candidates would be equally qualified (or not qualified) from a recency or HR perspective?

Not sure if they view that differently or not. I don't have any friends in that situation so I haven't asked. If you're there, hopefully you have an energetic advocate.

A bump for the 11 March interviews ...

I received the letter in the mail yesterday from the FAA stating they have sent my records to JB. Have any 3/11 interviews had any other movement? Anything significant to report?

FWIW, I am hoping some calls go out this coming week for the 2nd class in April (even though I am not available until May). I think there are still folks that interviewed in February hoping for that class date so best of luck to the February folks and here's hoping there is room for some calls go out to the 11 March guys-n-gals too.

I had to call Sterling yesterday to provide them with a new address - I closed on a new house and moved since sending in my packet. They said my investigation had been completed and was closed as of 2 April. So, hoping for a call as well with some good news. BTW, I'm strictly mil background, which I'm sure attributed to the speedy background completion.
