I attended the job fair in LV yesterday. Not sure if it will give the desired results.

I am an experienced airline pilot immigrant green card holder who has never worked in this country and knows very little about the industry here and very few people in it and so was a little hesitant to go.

BUT everybody I met, recruiters and especially fellow applicants made me feel valued and welcome and I realized that pilots, no matter where we have "cut our teeth" in aviation, speak the same language.

Thank you to the genuinely nice folk I hung out with yesterday, I now feel I can be part of the industry here and look forward to getting involved.

Oicur12,

Is that pronounced "Oh, I see you are one, too," or is it "Oh, I see you are 12!"?

Big difference.

"Oh, I see you are too". Does that help. It started on another aviation website at the dawn of the wwww.

I personally highly recommend it, you have nothing to lose. It helped me to get interviews at the regional airlines. Before going to the job fair I wasn't getting any calls but soon as I went to the job fair I start getting calls & emails.
