Delta's "Fix It" E-mail
Today I received a "fix it" e-mail from Delta regarding my driving violations and/or other convictions.
It says exactly this: "Your application lists driving violations and/or other convictions but does not provide the requested details to explain these events. Please review both the "Driving Record" and "Addendum" sections of the application and provide all requested information. We cannot continue to review your application until this information is provided."
Here's the issue though, I really don't have any driving violations or other convictions to report. I've scanned and scanned the application and it indicates "No" or "None" to both of those questions both in the main AirlineApps section and the addendum. I can't figure out what they want me to change.
On the AirlineApps page where it asks about driving history the question reads like this: "Please enter any information concerning driving violations. Include all infractions involving payment of fines, court appearances, and/or assessed penalties. If none, please continue to the next page." Well, I have none of those things listed above, so I went to the next page and in the addendum I checked "no" for convictions.
What else is there to do!? Anyone else have or have had this problem? Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

Isn't it really sad that this is what it's come down to, to get an air line job?
I am soooo glad I grew up in the pre-computer generation, where personality mattered more than...
computer records.
And...is it me, or does Saturday Night Live just completely suck these last...10 years?
Where have all the good writers gone? To TV? Not that I've seen.

Because back in the day, when you had to send off for an app with a SASE inside, you had better make damn sure that when you filled it out and returned it, it was filled out correctly with no errors/mistakes. There was NO system to verify that it was correct on the applicants part, nor an acknowledgment of sorts that guys get with the "fix it".
As far as the bold goes, personality seems to matter more now than it ever has as well. Only NOW, one has to be computer savvy/detail orientated, THEN be good on personality after the computer sort/rank/compare-contrast/rack and stack is all done.

That's a good point. But even then, proof reading and attention to detail mattered as well. Possibly if not MORE.

I miss Belushi, Aykrod, and later Piscopo and Murphy doing that show.
For DAL maybe, AA charged you money. I forget, $50?
Kind of hit or miss. On one hand, the apps were pretty straight forward. OTOH, filling them out with a type writer/word processor was a tedious process.
