Well, the whole thing can be blamed on the mainline pilots. After all, we were the ones who negotiated the contracts that allowed the company to build a regional business model that was doomed to fail. 3 days ago, air India put 3 of its 777-200LRs up for sale. $350m was the asking price. Again, used 777s aren't part of the RFP. By my count, there are 6 flying 777-300s available on the open market right now for sale, many others available for lease plus the 3 flying LRs. 777s are immediately available.
