JBlueRoutes

I've heard that many of the island routes out of BOS and FLL are turns. When y'all do South America stuff are those also turns or do you RON? Also, separate topic, do y'all get any priority when JS intl on your partners i.e Iceland Air etc? Thanks in advance!

Most island flying is done as turns. From JFK turns are done to BDA, SXM, PAP, SDQ, STI, POP, LRM, PUJ, MBJ, KIN, CUN, GCM, PLS, NAS, AZS and most Florida cities. The Carib turns are senior because they are very productive. Very senior fly there DH back are done to UVF, BGI, AUA, and CTG. CUR is being added this winter, my guess is it will be a fly there DH back.

Overnights are done in SDQ, STI, BGI, UVF, POS, SJU, BQN, PSE, CUN, AUA, CTG, and all the Florida cities with the exception of SRQ. I would not be surprised if SXM goes back to overnights due to some far 117 issues on the route. Occasionally a rare PUJ and MBJ overnight hits the bid packet.

All South American (except CTG) and most Latin America flying is done by FLL pilots. They overnight in BOG, LIM, LIR, and MDE.

JFK A320 flying is the most diverse, in one trip you can hit the Caribbean and the west coast. E90 is obviously more limited. Boston does similar flying to JFK but with less Caribbean routes. SDQ and STI layovers are junior. AUA a bit more senior. Most can hold UVF and BGI because it's not terribly productive.

There is no such thing as international jumpseating with international airlines. We have ZED benefits with all of them, no priority over any other airline.

Thanks for the info, now all I have to do is look up all those identifiers and I'll be set! Thanks again!

Not that I know of. Non-reving is typically very independent of code-sharing. Most US pilots don't really "jumpseat" on international carriers...The ID90/ZED fare system is for that, and we have a fairly large list of carriers (too long to list). If you're curious if any carrier in particular is on our list just let me know and i'll check.

For 190 pilots a Caribbean trip usually involves a flight down to Florida and then on to one of the islands. Then we will do inter island hops connecting various cities with San Juan or Ft Lauderdale for a few days before heading back up the east coast. Overnights are usually SJU but occasionally STI SDQ or SXM.

On on that note my first point of business would be to inform all those senior to me how absolutely horrendous a choice of overnight in the aforementioned cities would be. Quite fit for the junior fellows I'd say! :D

I've done them both. PUJ sucks... MBJ is a fairly high quality hilton all inclusive and was very nice.

This should be printed out and kept as a bidding guide. Good work!

Man I love ORD, where else can you get Tacos, a huge German beer, do some bowling and then top it off with a little indoor sky diving before you walk back to your room at the end of the night. I didn't even mention my triple axels I can practice in the winter in the court yard rink.
