It is a PERSONALITY test. You cannot Fail to have a personality, but I've seen a few who certainly tried! The 'test' is to tell the tester what -type- of personality you have. Then they decide if that's the type they want to hire. One company may want to hire only Type A, another might want Type B, some may want Type C, etc. |

Can't tell someones personality from a hor$hit psych test or some Delta psychologist. You tell someones personality by spending a day or two with a person and having a few cold ones.
You all remember the Depends Diaper Astronaut who drove cross country to catch her cheating husband in the act? Well the selection process really worked for her selection process. Oh what about the Jet Blue Captain who ent on a tear over the skies of Texas? Yep... the shrinks dink test worked there too. Yep. These tests are fool proof, interpreted by a bunch of nut cases that call themselves experts. Gives new meaning the insane running the asylum. |

Had a buddy get the TBNT for the Hogan. Without going into a full blown description of him, we were both shocked. That was in June.
It stung a bit but he re-engaged. He starts Delta in a little over a week..... Hogan, MMPI, etc., are all crap. Sadly, the companies feel otherwise...... Good luck to all! Lee |
DSM-IV, most pilots will have a little 300.3 and a few more as well. Go find your own and study up on the symptoms and try to understand them. I regularly fly with guys who spend 5 minutes wiping down things with handi wipes, and when I point out a knob that they missed, they immediately add that one to their "process" Pilots are fun and funny as well as a little sad.

Years ago, Delta asked pilot volunteers to take the tests (for 2 hours pay), to establish a profile against which to compare applicants' answers. It was never made clear whether an applicant who scored a close match would be helped or eliminated. :p
