Default JB pay questions

Since I'm snowed in, I wanted to float out a few questions for JB crewmembers.
1) what is "Junior Assignment add'l pay is 40% of pilot's base rate"?
2) what are the cities that pay the international override pay?
3) in regards to night override pay; do you have to fly the whole hour/s to get the extra pay, or would a 0455 takeoff get you the full extra money for that hour?

Thanks.

I'm not at JB yet (12/4 class) but the Junior Assignment, or junior manning at some places, is basically when all reserves are used or unavailable and they start reassigning line holders to cover flight. Generally speaking, it can be a line holder finishing the assigned trip and they get nabbed in the jetway or they start cold calling people on their day off. The simplest way to avoid the cold call is to not answer your phone on your day off. I have no idea how often, if at all, either happens at JB.

1) if you are reassigned you will get 40% above your pay for the legs reassigned. If extended into a day off you will get 40% plus 1.5 base pay minimum 5 hours.

2) I think it's only special qual airports, BOG and SJO. I'm not sure if LIM and MDE qualify. Needless to say, it's limited to the FLL base.

3) If even one minute is scheduled as a night rig leg you get night override for the entire leg. If you are not scheduled into that time period but hit it, it's how much time you were in it minimum 1 hour.

Note: our rigs need to be improved.

Generally that's how it is, here it's often applied differently. If you are modified into flying you are not scheduled, called EMR pay, you get 40% over your base pay. If there are cancellations etc they can't get you home and you need to be put up, they will usually DH you home at 5 hours @1.9 pay with includes the jra. We don't, or at least I have never been called in my 5 years here, for a "junior assignment". I have once been offered an extension, with I accepted because it paid well. I was given the option of accepting or not.

Chuck, does the reassignment into a day off pertain to reserves, too, or just line holders?

Reserves too, but it has been pretty rare for me personally (once or twice over the past 3yrs on RSV)

Along these same lines, is picking up opentime 1.5x pay? A long time ago there was a certain hour threshold (80hrs) that triggered the extra pay. Still the same?

The 78 hour premium pay was eliminated with the 13% hourly raise last year.
