Alaska's scope (or absolute lack thereof) allows for just what was stated.

Cricket, there's also a saying in the squadron bar. If you don't have anything intelligent to say, don't open your mouth and prove it.

In a lot of ways you remind me of myself. I thought I knew it all too when I retired from the USAF and came to the airlines in 2001. I quickly learned I was wrong about a lot. My advice to you would be to listen to the guys that have been around for awhile. Especially as it regards scope. Or not. Carry on.

Buzz the guy stated that he doesn't know everything. You don't either, much of what you say I consider hot air but I wouldn't say that you don't have anything intelligent to add. This is a public forum, people have the right to and should participate. Do you think that an 18 year old knows everything? They get to vote, not because they know everything but because they see the world in a different light then you do, assuming your older. No need to be condescending.

I was under the impression it was blank. It actually says that any flying except the 737 is permitted, if so, wow, just wow....epic fail.

No, wasn't my squadron, but from what I understand, he is now a check airman at Delta! :p

Delta does hire from diverse backgrounds and experiences. I'm not sure that would be a discriminator, but diversity is a strength.

Now get out of Seattle.:D

It is actually worse than that. Any 737's that were on order or on option on the date of signing the contract are included. Any 737's ordered after the date of signing can be flown by anyone.

We have Union representation here at Alaska...there is nothing to worry about. Not scope, not B-scale, not Delta. Those are big airline issues, nothing a expensive little operation would need concern itself with.
