...then help support a Kickstarter campaign.

First off, I am in no way affiliated with this group or campaign, but as an airline pilot that works for Envoy, and was based in (and commuting to) NYC during the Ebola scare, this hits close to home. I put the thread in this forum for visibility, but if the mods want to move it I understand.

We all know germs are everywhere, and not everyone cleans up after themselves. Even those with the best intent can still spread bugs. With all of the articles about cabin air quality, super-bugs, and the...excellent job our ground crews do cleaning the cabin, here's something we can do to help the cleanliness of our working environment.

These individuals have spent their own time and money developing a UV sanitizing "robot" that can sterilize a cabin, and could be used once a day on an overnight, during regular maintenance checks, or at a hub on a long sit. They need support to make it a commercial product. Even if you don't have any interest in donating, helping to spread the word on other aviation forums, to consumer groups, or news outlets may encourage the airlines to support the product due to passenger demand, not to mention advertising potential.

If one major airline supports this project and advertises this fact, the others will join suit.

That concludes today's public service announcement.

It's a step in the right direction, but ironically the areas that are the dirtiest, won't be touched. Tray tables and seatback pockets.
