Default "preferred"

Why don’t the majors just cut the crap? Why in the world do they still have “preferred” in the section about having a college degree? Why don’t they just go ahead and post what we all know to be true, that a 4 year is required? Also wouldn’t a requirement for a 4 year degree raise the status and prestige of this profession, maybe just a little?

Maybe because they mean preferred.

Are you dense?

If you are really a cargo hopeful you might try to play the game instead of whining about their hiring criteria on a web board.

Time to grow up.

How is that for cutting the crap?

Hey SNAFU, no one here is complaining or being “dense” about anything. I was just trying to find out why and what other people were thinking also. No malicious intent was meant by my comment. Oh and by the way, I will be graduating from University of Houston this may so, I am playing the game.

Maybe they expect potential employees to be able to read and write correctly?

Hey, hopeful: Good on you. My bad.

Sure sounded like whining at the beginning of the post, so I must have skipped the last sentence that actually says what you were trying to express.

Anyway, I will shut my pie hole for now.

People can and do get hired without a degree or PIC.
