A330 pilot thinks its because they are treated like "second class citizens". That somehow gives them the right to wipe out innocent people. There is no excuse and why the world tolerates these people is beyond me.

Clearly you're A Muslim and are offended by this thread? Let me ask you this question. Why is it that everytime someone from your religion decides to chop off someone's head, rape someone, or blow them up, the Muslim world remains silent?

Not offended by the thread, just seeing that some of the comments are bigoted.

I'm Muslim, we immigrated 23 years ago to this country when I was 8. We love and cherish the values and freedoms here of our country and are proud to be Americans. I was the only one in the family to get the aviation bug so I became a pilot. The rest got real jobs as doctors :D

What happened in Paris is terrible. There are no words. My thoughts and prayers are with everyone affected by this vicious act of indiscriminate terror.

To answer your question, I don't know. I don't know why you would think I would know, or could speak for, certain Musilm countries. I don't know what the Monarch in Jordan or the Sheikh ruler of the UAE would say or will say about these attacks. In the same way I don't know why you'd be expected to answer for an American mass shooter and gun issues. Whether it's mental sickness or a religious motivated attack (but I do think you'd also have to be a mentally sick nutjob to slaughter innocent people), I can't speak for other people, countries, and rulers. You'd have to ask them. Like you, I'm just another Jersey guy who can't obtain a CCP because of how liberal it is here.

As for ISIS, we did help create that mess. Iraq in pre-2003 was Sunni ruled. Saudi the strongest Sunni county, Iran the strongest Shia. We invaded Iraq and in the process of installing democracy we put the Shias in power. Due to numerous factors, including them asking us to leave and also not providing amnesty from prosecution, we left Iraq. A civil war was inevitable if you understand that part of the world. It was only a matter of time before a Sunni led force would have started a war with the Shia led rulers. Said force came in the form of ISIS and it ended up surprising even al-Qaeda in terms of how brutal they were. Now we the western countries are attacking ISIS while ISIS attacks western targets. This is basically a proxy war between Saudi Sunni and Iran Shia. In Syria we supported the rebels. Then Russia came out of nowhere and decided to support the Assad regime and bomb his enemies. It ends up being a proxy war with the U.S. and Russia in that regard. War is messy and we and Europe countries are entrenched in all things Middle East, including setting up Iraq and Syria to what they are today. Sure, it would be ideal if the whole Middle East could wake up one day and decide to grow up and join the 21st century, but this isn't an ideal world. There really isn't a good solution at this point. You can bomb the hell out of ISIS but you can't kill an idealogy that is ISIS. It's that idealogy that will end up recruiting that French national citizen who was one of the attackers. It's also an idealogy that will get a lone wolf to attack us Americans on our home soil or places in Europe and now Russia. IMO the only hope is a generational shift as time goes on. The kids' kids' kids who decide that enough is enough, they've gotten nowhere, and it's time to stop the insanity. Just as some other religions did a long, long time ago. I personally don't think we'll see a solution to anything in the Middle East in my lifetime.

The invasion against the West has intensified with the mass migration of unvetted Syrians entering Europe to join sleeper cells waiting for their time to rise up and commit mass murder.

Let's not rule out any secret deals made by Louis Farrakhan, you know, Mr. Nation of Islam, who also promotes hatred.

Nowhere in the world will be free from chaos, terrorism, and mass murder from these subhuman animals, unless all free nations unite, step up and exterminate these cockroaches.

I applaud you ShyGuy for attaining what you have attained, but you're wrong. First, these comments are not bigoted. Terrorism since prior to 9/11 has been accomplished by individuals who are Islamic, worship Allah and are eager to expand and convert non believers to their religion. That's just fact. Secondly, to blame terrorism on US policy is just sympathizing with the terrorists. Every single, every single Muslim country in the world wants to see the destruction of Israel, and the vast majority of those countries put Israel's destruction as their primary goal. Terrorism comes down to one thing, a cowardly group who cannot or will not change things peacefully but by force. Those that sympathize with terrorists or try to rationalize it are in effect terrorists themselves. It's a plain, blunt truth. I hate to say it, but the truth is brutal and no one wants to hear it. If Muslims will not or cannot stop their own people from doing this, I really fear pushed too far, Western Civilization will do it, if for no other reason than its own survival. I really hate to say it, but if the Paris attacks happen in Chicago, New York or LA for example, it's going to be war on Muslims in this country. God help us it NEVER comes to that.

We had OK city, it is a tiny amount of the Muslim population that is causing issues, you cannot lump all of them into the same group. Its about Hearts and Minds, there is no simple solution. Its difficult to fight an ideology, which ones do you go after, last I saw they do not wear uniforms as such...just asking. Thx

As Americans, we need to DEMAND that NO men under the age of 50 be allowed into this country from any Muslim country. None. For no reason.

What I find hypocritical is that our country, yes our good old U.S.A. will allow citizens of a country that share an ideology that will not rest until the last drop of blood is drained from the last dying Israeli. What is the matter with the world. Cruel as it may be, but Euroland and the U.S. made a horrible mistake by pledging admittance to the Syrians. Funny... Jordan, Qatar, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, nor the Emirates haven't open their embracing arms:rolleyes: and pledged aid to the Syrians.... Why is that:confused:? Now mind you the question is rhetorical.

When one asked shoot all Muslims and the reply is "Yes. Shoot them ALL." I'd say is just a bit bigoted or at the very least uncalled for. Shoot the monsters. Not me.

I'm an atheist but let's just say I was a Muslim, then what? how come when your priests molest little boys on a daily basis you don't come out n apologise? Meatballs your from Jersey I assume, plenty of muslims there, why don't you ask one when you see one on the street n see what they tell you...In my opinion, they don't need to apologise for anything if they didn't do the crime, fair enough..

I did. As did my brothers. We contributed positively to society and broke 6 figures by age 30. Pretty successful by most measuring sticks. My father is in private practice and employs several nurses and secretary staff. Your policy would have prevented all that.

It's a moot point, it's not like our borders are that secure so any bad guy that wanted to get in probably could get in through Mexico or Canada fairly easily. Besides, no outcry from you for the illegal immigrant deported twice guy in San Fran who shot and killed a white American girl? No shortage of illegal immigrants hurting and harming US citizens. Where's the outcry?

We all will recognize a war when we see it, despite any talk to the contrary.
Unfortunately the line has been crossed and no amount of talk is going to fix that, so let it roll. Humans love a good war.
