I respect your opinion as well, but what I see is a bunch of pilots that are endorsing something they haven't seen as a sure thing and a great deal based on as you said - basic math. That is absolutely questionable SA. It is much bigger than that. We are getting the cart way too far ahead of the horse if we once again look only at pay rates and get a big smile on our faces, disregarding the specifics.
If history holds, the MEC will gloss over the specifics and sell this as industry leading. Maybe it is. Maybe it isn't. But to be endorsing something as substantial as FAR 117 extensions and FRMS changes without fully understanding their ramifications by looking forward to a 13% pay raise is short sighted. We are nothing if not predictable.

I see this as something different than past negotiations where pay trumped all else. Concessions were "bought" in a lot of cases (C2000). If this is indeed a substantial pay raise with no consessions, then that is something we haven't dealt with in a LONG time. The MOU 22 is merely something we had previously agreed to.... for NO "get" except the add pay. It sounds like there will be compensation for the extensions, so it's NOT for free. The devil will DEFINITELY be in the details for MOU 22 and FRMS, but if the company truly isn't able to operate the long haul flights they want to efficiently and profitably under the current contract, then I view it as important to make that flying possible. A win for us, provided we are compensated for it: which is the basis for this pay raise. We will see
Cheers mate

If the rumors are true:
13-3-2. Me too clause. No scope give. 100 seaters. Back to table 2 years...it will sail through as it will be industry leading or damn near(factoring the 16% DC). $161 an hour junior ish narrow body FO with the 16 DC is enough hook for the majority to bite for a few years. There are just not enough to take the time value money chance with Section 6. Pretty simple.
Can argue all day what pilots should do but then there is reality...
