I heard he tried to put together a plea bargain but some police picketed, some senators asked him some tough questions and it fell apart.

That shouldn't surprise you. All the "rich and famous" do those kinds of things. I'm frankly surprised he's not checked into some phony rehabilitation facility. That way, he'd not have to accept responsibility for his actions. That's one of the things I like about pilots, they usually do accept responsibility for their actions. No matter how juvenile their acts were.

The article said it was a few hours after he dropped his DAL takeover bid due to lack of creditor support...it don't think it was celebration

I'll bet he tried to get an ATSB loan for bail money.

I can't blame him for leaving the Bird's Nest tanked. What a remarkable feast on the eyes walking around there is, with all the plastic cougars and a few young women in the mix

In the PHX newspaper today: Turns out Doug had three alchohol related arrests in his twenties. Two of them DUI's, making this one his third.

He's also been a bit of a speed demon lately too and I think this is his third or fourth ticket in the last 18 mos.

How would that look on a pilot's record?
