If this career looked undesirable before, I cannot imagine a sane person becoming a professional pilot in the years to come in light of this.
The only companies that may be shielded from this are domestic LCCs. This will be absolutely devastating to United Delta and American. If you don't think so you have your head in the sand. Don't believe me? Look at the US Maritime industry, or lack thereof.
A pilot "leasing" company?! Give me a break!

This will be the end of this career, just look at the US Maritime industry (or lack thereof).

$10,200/ mo gross for capt and $5600/ for fo and it's as good as it gets? Dramatic... I think not.
It's a flag of convenience and a race to the bottom. If pay created a pilot shortage in the US over the past 15 years watch what international wage pressures will create. Forty years from now American pilots will be in the minority.
In the realm of safety, do you think that happy 787 capt is going to tell the company no? Those guys will always be under the thumb of a three year contract.

11,000 euros for cap and 6,000 euros for f/o's is the current contract as I saw a while back....., this job is geared towards the LCC's pilots in the EU that are lingering with pretty bad T&C's and very high tax rates...., all things considered it is a good deal for them.
For decades now in the US there has been a separation of the classes and literally thousands of pilots are redefining the race to the bottom at the regional level....., How is this a cataclysmic end of our careers?
How about fixing the ridiculous US aviation "Us and them" stupidity we have going on for decades now instead of our own version of Fox News the sky is falling.....! Drama queens!

I was shocked when that capt in the rishworth video said it was as good as it gets. He hasn't a clue.
