Happy Memorial Day
#5
True. But we remember those that gave all and can still thank those that stepped up to do the same if needed.
I lost ten friends, 6 AF, 3 Marine, 1 Navy over my career. I'd rather thank them in person for their service than remember them.
Memorial Day has become another sales event for retailers. My former Marine nephew who did 3 tours in Iraq and Afganistan isn't a failure for not paying the ultimate price. But I know he is scared by the loss of squad members on those tours.
Yes, always remember the fallen but also appreciate those that continue to stand on the front line after loosing their youth and more in service to this country.
And we can have the same posts come Veterans Day.
They are all worthy of our praise and respect.
