Delta March and April Classes
Does anyone know how many classes there are having and how big they are going to be?
Thanks jj |
I was told that the Feb 20th class to be about 30 as well as the March 12th class. They were to be all new hires, but today no one except the first wave have been given any official notification. Nothing was planned beyond that.
FWIW, I was told last week that they had around 80 letters of intent from current furloughs to return. We will have to wait and see if that comes to pass. I know that they are still interviewing up to 8 a day Tues-Thurs. There should be some good info from the ladies down at the WIA convention later this weekend. Capt's Swift and Wildhaber are down there recruiting this weekend. |
I spoke with Crew resources today and they didn't know how many were going to be in the April class, I think on the 11th. I am trying to see if I can squeeze into that class, I was told that it's first come, first serve-not by seniority.
A friend is returning to a March 2 class, but he didn't know how many were going to be in it. I will hopefully find out something soon about whether I made it or not. jj |

I spoke to the ATL CP on monday. He is also one of the guys who does interviews. At that time they only had 14 pilots intending to return from furlough. I doubt they got 66 more during the week. |
Per crew resources on Friday afternoon, they had 18 for the April class. They weren't sure of the class size. The March 2nd class for returnees is full, and I was told that they expect a rush of pilots trying to come back before the exit of bankruptcy.

I guess that it is enough to keep the newbies out of class for some time.

Does anyone know what it takes to be competitive for DAL? The specified min's are very low and I was wondering what people were actually getting hired with. thanks

anywhere from 2000-10,000 hrs ttl with some turbine. You do not need PIC time. It is all about who you know and what groups you are in.
