A cut above pilot shirt
#32
I just flew my first trip with this fabric and I’m on the fence after washing it. The fabric is ultra light weight and feels awesome. It’s nice and soft and breathes well. It really feels like a nice shirt. The down fall might be upkeep, I’m not sure it’ll last. We just bought a new high end washer and dryer with steam and I put the shirt in by themselves and while nothing happened, it just feels like it might me a little to “light weight” for home care.

I would have them dry cleaned , they ll hold up way longer. They are by far the best shirts I’ve come across but don’t hold up quite as well as others . However these fit the best and don’t look like a trash bag at the end of the day. (Tropo style that is ).

I’m too fat for the tropo shirts so I’m going to be getting tapered brooks. This is the only info I’ve found (like you I’m trying to research before buying):

I wash my tropo shirts in the washing machine but I use mesh wash bags. The shirt doesn't get banged around and doesn't snag on anything. They are over a year old and are still in good shape despite being washed once a week.
