Default Uniform Pilots Attend 12/16 Trump MCO Rally

#DenyNAI
SWAPA invites uniformed pilots from all flight operations (even CFIs!) to attend the December 16th Trump Rally in MCO.

https://www.eventbrite.com/e/denynai...851254?aff=es2 (SWAPA Event Info)

DenyNAI Orlando
Friday, December 16, 2016 from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM (EST)
Arrive Early
4603 W Colonial Dr
4603 West Colonial Drive
Orlando, FL 32808
Come stand with your fellow pilots as we raise the issue of NAI to President-elect Trump when he visits Orlando on his "Thank You Tour" on 16 Dec 2016. Please come in uniform, preferably the blazer if you have it. For those of you flying in, transportation to/from the event is provided. We will depart the MCO airport at 3 PM and return at approximately 10 PM. Finally, remember you are coming as a SWAPA pilot and do not represent or speak [any US Flight Operation] at this event. Be professional, be courteous. See you Friday.
If you plan to ride the bus from the airport, please email your name/phone number and number of people in your party so I will have a proper headcount. The plan is to have the bus meet us on the lower level, spot 32 or 33. I will send more detailed info as we progress.

Also, one more reminder that you must go to the TRUMP WEBSITE TO PRINT YOUR TICKETS: https://www.donaldjtrump.com/schedul...r/orlando-fl2/ (CLICK HERE FOR TRUMP RALLY TICKETS)
(Please print 2 and bring them both in case someone doesn't have one or forgets).
Pilots wishing to stand in front or behind The President Elect must be in line early in the morning.

The Southwest pilots union is worried about this. But it's just gonna shrink a few widebody jobs, right APC?

Pilots will fight tooth and nail to the dying breath over Seniority List Integration, but when a foreign company decides to take the best jobs in your entire industry do you enjoy the same level of anger? Or do you roll over and say "sure, take my seniority" and let our legislators violate US-EU Air Transportation Agreements? We should, at the very least, be fighting this issue to protect the Civil Reserve Air Fleet (CRAF) so that the US Government has sufficient airlift to supply any U.S. military undertaking.

Recognize that NAI will limit JetBlue A321neo LR growth in the Atlantic. Southwest Atlantic 737Max ambitions will also stall. Why? Because both JetBlue and especially Southwest have more experienced workforces while Norwegian is a young rapid growth weak longevity workforce. So now, Southwest will be limited in the Atlantic by a younger international version of itself. To make matters worse, Norwegian has discussed a Ryan Air feed agreement. Ryan Air has a credit rating of BBB+ while NAI brings a 7.7x EBITA multiplier and strong growth trajectory via NAI—that is unless you people wakeup and do something about it.

Norwegian consists of four airlines whipsawed against each other under one brand, a significant labor discount. Norwegian Group continually attempts to transition employment contracts to an outside HR company part-owned in part by a 5th Norwegian subsidiary (you can't make this stuff up). Additionally, this outside HR company is a sister company to a large outsourcing conglomerate specializing in the Maritime flag of convenience scheme.

But even on its own, NAI presents a situation that US carriers cannot compete with. So, welcome to the globalization of economic zones that completely disregard labor laws. Welcome to social dumping and job recycling. Will you stand by and do nothing? Do you people give up easily?

Did the RLA invent itself of did labor stand up to say F!#% off to corporate greed and careless capitalism? You people need to wake up! Immediately share this information with every pilot you know and then for the next month, drink less and take a break from the television. Sit down with your dearly loved family and fight for their financial future. Make phone calls with your space and children to your your legislators. Teach your children or learn together how this works. Recruit the children NAI would d*mn assist you in signing up for your union's Political Action Committee. Make an in-person appointment with your representatives' legal aids, put your uniform on, and bring your family. If you don't have a family yet, then recognize that your future family is at risk. Tell your representatives to save U.S. Air CARRIER jobs (pun intended).

I salute SWAPA Government Affairs and SWA pilots for making an appointment to send bipartisan pilots to see the President Elect in person and uniform. With ambition and tenacity, we will get essential attention on the NAI issue. Let us together preserve the size and scope of what remains the best aviation system in the world.

Curious how did it go, from the press accounts it sounds like you would not have been noticed.

I am glad SWA is on top of this.

For some reason, all the legacy unions seem to be totally asleep at the wheel.

APA sent out multiple emails asking for pilots to attend, posted on Twitter and Facebook about it and was skewered because pilots thought the APA was suggesting that they go to congratulate Trump.

Much like all his claims during his campaign (Draining the swamp? Right... check out those cabinet picks) I wouldn't expect Trump to be the champion of the American worker. I don't think Hillary would've been either, but I bet Bernie Sanders would've told NAI to go pound salt.
