Anyone know about Republic?? How are they? do they treat their
employees right, etc?? They called me for an interview for next week. I'm thinking of leaving Mesa for Republic. Any info, thoughts, etc would be greatly appreciated.
thanks alot :-)

why don't you just suck it up , get yur 1000 PIC turbine and then go to world, polar/atlas, spirit.....etc...to get some larger aircraft time and have a better qol and make more $$ until fdx, ups dl and the likes call you.
lateral movements at the commuter level are not beneficial unles you have less than 6 months at mesa.

Republic as a whole(RP, S5, CHQ) has a great pilot group! The treatment by the company overall is very good. The growth is going to be staggering especially for the Republic Airlines division especially with Airways and Frontier adding more 175's and 170's respectively. We also have Shuttle America. Then there's Chautauqua which will also be growing a lot with the addition of the Continental codeshare.
The upgrade here is looking right now like 2 years or so maybe a little more or less. Also depends if you are willing to take any captain position or wait for a left seat in the 170.
Hope this helps

Funny, I was just on the phone with a friend who's been with them for a little more than two years. He seems generally satisfied. He says he's got little gripes here and there, but knows that small complaints are normal at any job... and they're not big issues like at some companies. They offered him a captain upgrade for the CRJ at his 24th month, but he turned it down, holding out for an upgrade on the plane he's been flying (ERJ 145 I think).. he suspects it shouldn't be more than a few more months - says upgrade is about 24-28 months right now, they're growing like crazy.
