Thanks everyone. Keep it coming please.
At F9 the check airman are only given a 10% override. Just another area where we are the LCD. |
Endeavor air is $20/hr but only on actual flying requiring a check pilot. So deadheads and and credit to make up to min day don't count for example.

DAL line check airmen are paid at a 15% override for checking events. They only do line checks, special airport quals, and OE.
Sim instructors are paid 5 hours per event on the highest paying category you can hold that is your seat (e.g. you can hold 88 captain, but are an FO instructor, you're paid the highest FO seat you can hold). |
Thanks guys.

I guess for the sake of clarity I'll add to the AA information that the check airmen don't get an override because they don't generally do any line flying. Therefore, we don't have scenarios where an FO can bid with a check airman and get displaced.
X-types do a month in the schoolhouse in the sim and a month in their base flying OE, line checks, etc. L-types who just do the OE, and line checks, but no sim training. They have to be available for 17 days per month for that 90:57 and get an extra 5:21 for each additional available day. When they're flying OE they just pick the trips they want and displace both original crew members. |
