Fedex Ladies and Gentlemen:

I was only passed minor details, but Fedex MEC member and Fedex Captain, Fred B, passed over the weekend in what appears to have been a motorcycle accident.

Please keep his family in your thoughts, and if you have questions, please contact the MEC.

Best Regards to all.

Although I am not FedEx, I came to know Fred as a most ethical, moral, hardworking, trustworthy, straight shootiing man. We first communicated around the time he decided to run for block rep, and we continued to occasionally email about other things such as life, philosophy etc.

Fred, I hope to see you in a better place.

Fred was one of the good guys. A fun and professional guy that I always enjoyed flying with. He had a wonderful sense of humor and will be missed by all his friends. Our thoughts and prayers goes out to his family. RIP Fred.

I raised a glass tonight in his memory - I know he would have approved.

He will be missed by everyone who knew him.

Shocking news on a great guy who was a true line-pilot advocate.

Our thoughts and prayers are with Fred's family.

God Bless.

All motorcycle riders out there please be careful. In addition to the tragic loss of the Fedex Captain, the United MEC just notified us of the loss of one our 777 F/Os in a another motorcycle accident on 28 May.
