I'm willing to bet you will see all the DC-9s, MD-88s, and MD-90s phased out very quickly...

Source? Why would DAL park all the 88's and 90's. E. Bastian just confirmed DAL is still in negotiations for 90's from China.

It's pretty sweet that with a brand (almost) new cockpit, you can fly the 764 on the same rating. Is there any conversion course required, or can you just walk into a 764?

Even though its a common type rating, Delta runs a short "differences" course for anybody going from the 767-300 to the 767-400.

Hopefully they remove the lead paint before they send them over

Not quite as many as it sounds. 88/90, 757/767, and 777/777LR are flown as one category at Delta. Are the 320/319 flown as separate categories?

No, they are one category.
